At LiveLife Pharmacies, our commitment to the local community is at the heart of everything we do. When we heard about the devastating impact of the recent floods on our rural Queensland communities, we knew we had to step up and help.
We reached out to Farm Angels, a charity with a big heart and a mission to help Aussie farmers impacted by natural disasters. Our question to them was: “What has been raised so far by the local Queensland communities that we serve in your Beyond the Flood appeal?”. The generosity of our customers and the resilience of regional Queenslanders moved us deeply. Inspired by this incredible community spirit, we decided to double the impact of local giving and donate $10,000 to the cause.
This contribution not only matched but exceeded the donations that were made at the time by locals living in areas across our network of pharmacies, who had independently made a donation. It will provide farmers with much needed support including financial assistance, food hampers, pre-paid fuel cards, essential supplies and more. It’s more than just a donation; it’s a message to flood-affected farmers that they are not alone. Their communities see them, value them, and stand beside them—not just during the crisis, but throughout the long road to recovery.
