Livelife Pharmacists are committed to providing the best possible care and service to our patients and communities. And their efforts have not gone unnoticed by the industry and the public.
In 2023, three LiveLife Pharmacists have received prestigious awards for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the profession. They are:
Jacquie Meyer
Congratulations to Jacquie Meyer from LiveLife Pharmacy Cooroy who was awarded the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) 2023 Queensland Pharmacist of the Year Award.
Jacquie embodies what it means to be a pharmacist. She is the founder and host of the Hinterland Health Expo, now in its second year, uniting health providers, building positive relationships, and facilitating collaborations between practitioners. With free community access, consumers can speak to a wide range of health professionals in a relaxed environment, fostering community accessibility, improving consumer awareness and education, and demonstrating that exhibiting practitioners prioritise community healthcare.
Jacquie lives and breathes the values of the pharmacy profession and has been passionate about mentoring young pharmacists for many years. More than 10 PSA interns have been trained and mentored, with Jacqueline heavily investing in their development along the way. As a female business owner and mother, Jacqueline is particularly dedicated to inspiring young pharmacists to establish their careers within the profession.

Zain Langah

Congratulations to Zain Langah, who was awarded the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) 2023 Queensland Intern Pharmacist of the Year Award at the PSA Annual Therapeutic Update at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday 23rd September 2023.
Zain consistently goes above and beyond for his patients and the Yeppoon community. When Zain made the move to Yeppoon, he made a commitment to supporting patient care and the safe use of medicines. Zain has been instrumental in rolling out a forward dispense model, while still being an optimal care pharmacist and the primary vaccinator.
Zain is focussed on investing his time to ensure his patients have been heard and provides thorough counselling that is tailored to his patients and their families.

Jason Sammut

Jason Sammut was awarded the Most Outstanding Community Pharmacist Award 2023 from the Australian Patients Association (APA) prestigious awards held at Melbourne’s Sofitel Hotel on 20th July 2023.
Jason has been a pharmacist for over 28 years and is being recognised for his commitment to providing high-level patient care, and going above and beyond for his local community.
Along with his role in the pharmacy Jason sits on the local Medication Advisory Committee for local Aged Care Homes: Carramar in Tewantin and Kabara in Cooroy. This role involves working collaboratively with doctors and nurses to develop medication related policies and procedures to protect and provide care for our most vulnerable local patients that reside in these facilities. He has also been recognised for his dedication to care, where he visits the vulnerable, checking on the sick, elderly and the bereaved in the community.
The Pharmacy Guild of Australia personally congratulated Jason on his achievement with Guild Executive Director Suzanne Greenwood present to see him win the award.
Pharmacy Guild National President Professor Trent Twomey said that Jason displays all the attributes the Guild encourages in the pharmacy profession. “It’s great to see Jason’s efforts being fittingly recognised and he follows in the footsteps of the most dedicated pharmacists who have previously been named ‘Most Outstanding Community Pharmacist’ by the APA.”
Jacquie, Jason, and Zain truly go above and beyond to care for and protect the health of our communities. Their passion to engage, connect and inspire are what makes them so deserving of their achievements and awards.
LiveLife Pharmacies has a unique model which is based on fostering an environment that truly supports our Pharmacists, who strive to be the most accessible health professionals in the communities we serve. We champion our pharmacists who practice forward dispensing and perform a wide range of services for our patients.
